Electrical

Reticulation

• Overhead line construction and maintenance. We install overhead power lines. From a 6.6 KV to 33KV. (6600 Volts – 33000 Volts) We also install overhead bundle conductor 400 Volt. We do maintenance on the various lines by replacing broken insulators, joining the overhead conductors, replacing PG clamps, replacing rotten or burnt poles and weed control on high voltage grid yards.
• High voltage cable terminations and joints. We install paper lead and XLPE cables. We do the cable terminations and the cable joints.

HV and MV substations

• HV Breaker testing. We test the high voltage Circuit breaker connection tips.

Industrial

• Automization of processes. We convert manual operated processes to fully automatic processes by means of PLC (Programmable logic controller) or Scada operated systems. Different types of processes are citrus packhouses, macadamia nut drying and cracking processes, mango and banana packhouses, wood saw mills and any other related processes. With PLC and Scada you can monitor the proses and gather information on a year to year bases. This will improve the way of operation and it will improve the quality of your product. These systems are custom built and are programmed according to the customers’ needs and specifications. These systems decrease the production costs and increases quality on products.
• Panel design and wiring. All electrical panels are designed for different applications. The panels are then custom built for each project. The electrical wiring diagrams are drawn inhouse. All the panels are built and wired in house to a world class standard and comply with the South African Electrical Counseling Board standards.
• Lighting. We design lighting lay outs for different areas where lights are needed. For example; The lux level off light in offices are higher than what are required in packhouses. We also install lights and fix them.
• Boilers (John Thomson, Babcock & Robey) We do maintenance and fault finding on all different types of boilers. We also convert manually operated boilers to automatically operated boiler systems.
• Variable speed motors. We install new variable speed drives on any size electrical motor. We also do maintenance and fault finding on all makes of speed drives. We also design and install speed drives on agricultural irrigation systems, pump stations and water reticulation systems. By installing speed drives on irrigation systems, pump stations and water reticulation systems you decrease the chances off water hammers and burst pipes. You also decrease electrical power consumption which will contribute to a smaller electrical bill.
• Pump stations. We install new pump stations and do maintenance work on older pump stations. We also design and install flow, level and pressure control systems on pump stations. We can also control pump stations via the internet if there are signal at the pump station location. Any type of control can be implemented according to customer specifications.

Commercial

• Maintenance. We do maintenance on any type of electrical installation and equipment in food processing plants, wood saw mills, citrus packhouses, Banana-Mango and litchi packhouses, sewerage plants, water treatment plant, pump house and any other electrical related installation.
• New installations. We in conjunction with PLP Consulting Engineers do a design, supply and install on any electrical installation.

Domestic

• Maintenance. We do normal maintenance on any house hold regarding the lights, plugs, stoves and geysers.
• New installations. We wire a new house from scratch.

Solar power

• Maintenance. We do maintenance on the battery’s, inverter and solar panels.
• New installations. We do the power consumption calculation on any electrical installation single phase or three phase to determine the size of the inverter and amount of back up battery’s that is required for the installation.

Uninterrupted power supplies (UPS)

• Maintenance. We do maintenance on the battery’s, change over switch and electrical connections.
• New installations. We do the power consumption calculation on any electrical installation single phase or three phase to determine the size of the UPS in KVAR and the backup amount of battery’s needed for the time that is specified by the customer.

Engineering

• Designing and cost estimation on electrical installations. We design the electrical installation and give a cost estimation on the project at hand.
• Power and energy saving. We also do power and energy saving by using LED lights, energy efficient electrical motors, power factor correction and incorporating solar power with Eskom power.
• Transformer and cable sizing calculation for electrical installations. We do transformer calculation for plants to determine the size of the transformer. We also calculate the cable sizes for different loads to ensure cables not overheating due to undersized conductors or unnecessarily expenses on oversized cables.
• Lighting calculations for different working areas according to NOSA and EURO GAP specs. We can calculate the amount of lights needed to reach the required lux levels in each area to comply with various global standards. Light intensity in offices needs to be higher than what is needed in warehouses and there for it is important to have the correct amount of lights in different areas.
• Solar power system design. We can design an Off Grid system that will make you completely independent from any service provider utility. The system includes Battery banks, solar panels and inverter. Any size plant or pump station can be supplied completely from a solar system.
  We can also design a Hybrid system that is a combination of Grid-tie and Off Grid-tie power. This is suitable for business and houses that experience unreliable grid supply. This system will also decrease their monthly electrical bill and reduce the customer dependency on the grid.
